"Do you consider yourself a feminist?"
“I don’t really think about things as guys versus girls. I never have. I was raised by parents who brought me up to think if you work as hard as guys, you can go far in life.”

- Taylor Swift 2012

"As a teenager, I didn’t understand that saying you’re a feminist is just saying that you hope women and men will have equal rights and equal opportunities. What it seemed to me, the way it was phrased in culture, society, was that you hate men. And now, I think a lot of girls have had a feminist awakening because they understand what the word means."

i am so upset

why is taylor releasing 1989 a day late in the UK?? and why cant we preorder the deluxe version or get the full merch range?

every other CD has been dropped worldwide on the same date and I’ve preordered every single one (except the first one) and they’ve all arrived on the release date and now they’re saying it won’t ship till the release date which means people who preorder the CD in the UK won’t get it until like the 31st

plus the swiftstakes is only for US residents like why cant they ship merch to other areas of the world or give meet and greet passes for your closest concerts

im just

what is going on

Two years gives you enough time to grow, and to change, and to change your priorities, change where you live, change your hair, change what you believe in, change who you hang out with, what's influencing you, what's inspiring you. And in the process of all of those changes that happened in the last two years, my music changed. I'm thinking about how this new album is a bit of a rebirth for me because it's so new, I've never really made these kinds of changes before. And having been born on December 13th of 1989... this album is called 1989.

"I never want to change so much that people can’t recognize me."

One of my big goals as a human being is to continue to write what’s really happening to me, even if it’s a tough pill to swallow for people around me… I do fear that if I ever were to have someone in my life who mattered, I would second-guess every one of my lyrics.

But I keep cruising, can’t stop, won’t stop moving. It’s like I got this music in my mind and saying, “It’s gonna be alright.”
